Interesting to see that Banco Popular and Banco Pastor are probably going to merge. And useful too. For I could never remember which was which. And this was even after I'd deposited some money with one of them. Bit embarrassing really, trying to withdraw funds from a bank to which your name means nothing.

Also interesting to see another review - from The Washington Post - of the Sheen-Estevez film "The Way".

But is there anything less interesting - or more dispiriting - than driving through Liverpool and Birkenhead en route to Leeds on a cold, foggy, wet afternoon in early October, on a day on which you know the sun is shining in Pontevedra and the temperature is around 23 or 24?

Not to mention England losing to France in the rugby World Cup quarter-finals.

So, the 85 year old Duquesa de Alba has finally married her 60 year old toy-boy. See here for a foto and details. And ponder the possibility this marriage has already been consummated. Assuming she hasn't given all her vast wealth to her kids so as to eliminate their resistance to the nuptials.
